Unlike other alternatives, Whisper doesn't store your transcriptions or AI interactions in our database. Everything stays strictly on your machine, accessible via the desktop app under Settings → Whisper.db. If you delete this file, your transcriptions are gone forever. Because of this local-first approach, logging into the same account on a different machine will not show your previous history — your data stays where it was recorded.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Settings → Billing tab and press 'Cancel subscription'. You will keep Pro features until the 'Current period ends' date. The 'Cancels on' date will be shown if the cancellation is scheduled. After that date, your plan switches to Free. You can re-subscribe anytime from the Pricing page.
